What Is The Hunted Geolocation Team Building Game?
For this project, ClueGO drew inspiration from global hit reality shows like Channel 4’s Hunted—a show where intelligence experts track down fugitives across the UK using real-world surveillance and tactics.
They developed The Hunted Experience: a high-stakes, gamified team building experience where groups of 16 to hundreds of participants are split evenly into two factions: The Hunters and The Hunted. The Hunted must avoid detection, clear checkpoints, and survive until they reach a secret extraction zone, while the Hunters use tech to track and capture them.
How Does The Hunted Game Work?
Combining real-world expertise with Mooveteam’s advanced gamification platform, ClueGO created an immersive, cinematic experience that turns ordinary city streets into a live game board. The strategic gameplay includes:
- Dynamic Checkpoints: Over 300 hotspots are loaded onto the live map. As teams clear certain checkpoints, they disappear from the map for others, forcing teams to constantly adapt their routes.
- Tech Gadgets & Sabotage: By completing tasks, teams collect virtual gadgets. A team might deploy a GPS Blocker to lock a rival's screen and hide their location, or use an X-Ray Tracker to reveal exactly where the opposition is hiding.
- The Capture Mechanic: When Hunters physically intercept The Hunted, a capture takes place using QR codes. The Hunter team scans the Hunted team's unique code, instantly deducting 100 points from the fugitives and transferring them to the Hunters.
- The Final Extraction: In the final 15 minutes, the map dynamically changes to reveal a single extraction point that all teams must race toward before the clock runs out.
